We were stoked to be able to explain the process of preparing the landfill surfboards that we turn into art, as we often receive inquiries from the community regarding this. We broke down the steps involved, the range of equipment, and the special tools that we use, which you can get from your local Bunnings, to ensure the boards are cleaned as thoroughly as possible.

On the Saturday before Mother's Day, we set up in the DIY section of Bellambi Bunnings, with the assistance of the iconic green and red-aproned workers, despite it being incredibly busy.

As families flocked to the store for last-minute gift ideas for Mother's day , the atmosphere became lively with SurfPaints and added extras for the craft section of Bunnings, such as feathers, confetti, and other materials. Watching the children embrace their creativity and think outside the box was Epic.

The workshop was a hit with the local kids, demonstrating that you don't have to be a surfer to enjoy this fun and sustainable activity. The excitement peaked when we held a raffle, allowing one lucky customer to win one of the boards. The winner was stoked, and the second board that got turned into art that day will be showcased within the Bellambi Bunnings store, showcasing the local community's creativity.

We have made it our mission to transform 100 landfill boards into unique works of art. With the recent events, we have successfully refurbished 26 boards.
