How to Fix a Surfpaints Pen That Isn’t Flowing Yet
New acrylic paint pens sometimes need a quick start before the paint begins to flow properly. This is completely normal and only takes a few seconds to fix.
This guide will show you how to activate and prime your Surfpaints acrylic paint pen so it starts flowing smoothly.
If your Surfpaints pen isn’t flowing yet, follow the steps below to activate the paint and start creating.
Why Your Acrylic Paint Pen May Not Be Flowing
Acrylic paint pens contain paint stored inside the barrel. Before using them for the first time, the paint needs to be properly mixed and pushed into the nib.

Why is my Paint Pen not flowing?
New acrylic paint pens need to be shaken and primed before use. This helps move the paint into the nib so it flows properly.
